Welcome to my world, I'm glad you're here for the ride.
I am happy to announce that Musa Publishing has picked up A Place to Call Their Own. This is my first full-length novel.
About A Place to Call Their Own: Frank Greerson and Gregory Young have been discharged from the Army and are headed to their childhood homes. They defied their parents in 1861 when they joined the Army. After battling southern rebels and preserving the Union of the United States of America, the two men set out to battle the Kansas Prairie and build a life together. Once they find their claim, they encounter common obstacles to life on the Kansas Prairie in 1866: Native Americans, tornadoes, wild animals, and weather. When a prairie fire destroys their crops and takes their neighbor’s lives, Frank and Gregory are instructed to find their son’s aunt. Faced with leaving a destroyed claim, the railroad coming through their land, and dwindling funds, Frank and Gregory must decide whether to leave the place they've worked hard to make their own or fulfill their friends' dying wish.
I am done writing my second novel, Disappear With Me. I am putting some finishing touches on the manuscript and it should be ready later this year. I do not currently have a publisher for this manuscript.
About Disappear With Me: In 1910, the United Kingdom was in turmoil. King Edward died after only nine years on the throne. The social class system that upheld British society for centuries was being chipped away by social, political, and economic unrest across the Commonwealth. Amidst this backdrop, Reverend Leander Normal is accused of sodomy. After discovering his own self-worth and the meaning of unconditional love, Reverend Leander finds the courage to stand up for what he believes is right and pleads not guilty to the charges. Throughout the trial, Reverend Leander’s past is revealed, including the temptations that bring the accusations against him. By the end of the trail, Reverend Leander is once again reunited with Raphael by the end of the trial; it may be too late to rekindle any love that might remain, given the circumstances of the era and Reverend Leander’s likely sentence.
In addition to polishing Disappear With Me, I am outlining and getting ready to start writing a third novel, The Higher Law.
The Higher Law is the story of Robert Young and his search for true love in Los Angeles in the 1930s.
